[amayausers] Re: New Software

Hi Lori,

Yes, the Design Shop and AmayaOS were separated. This was done for
stability reasons. When saving from Design Shop the file can be saved to
C:\Program Files\Melco Embroidery Systems\AMAYA\Jobs\Cluster1\Pending
folder. This folder is the Job List in AmayaOS. After being saved to this
folder it will automatically show up in the Jobs List TAB to the right under
Job Pending. This can also be accomplished the same way if there is a
Design Shop computer networked to a Amaya computer. Notice on multi-cluster
systems, there will be a \Jobs\Cluster1\Pending folder for each cluster. The
Cluster number will change..

The material thickness may be changing on you for 1 of 2 reasons. Part of
the changes in the new software were changes to how the Settings By Color
are accomplished. There were some problems with it in previous versions.
Files saved in previous versions may have had this feature turned on and it
was not supposed to be. If the file you are loading is a file saved from a
previous version of AmayaOS, after loading go the Settings Window, then
click on the Settings By Color TAB. If Settings by Color is on, turn it off.
You may want to resave the file after doing so. The other reason may be that
the default settings saved in the OFM file may have had a setting of 1 saved
to it. To check this, after loading the design click on the EDIT button. It
will open the design in the Sizer Editing Side of the software. In the Tree
on the right, right click on the very top of the list then go to Properties.
Then click on the Amaya TAB. The settings in this window are the settings
saved into the OFM file. These are the defaults the file will use when
Settings By Color are NOT turned on. Check to insure the materail thickness
is correct, then save the file and reload it to the machine. To bypass the
feature of "Use Settings From Design" once back into the Amaya Control
Panel, open the Settings Window then click on the Settings TAB. There is a
feature called "Use Settings From Design". Uncheck this if you prefer to
have the settings stay at what you set them to no matter what design you
load.
