What I do is put (if I use a sticky backing) on the item.... This is only to
help if I have to remove stitches... The bags are stable enough that no
backing is really needed (even on an  EMT)
Clamp and mount it and then slip a piece of heavy hat backing between the
needle plate and the clamp/bag....
thus when the clamp frame gets close to the needle plate the backing ramps
it up to avoid the jams on the needle plate and clamp.
Does that make sense?  Or I can shoot a picture maybe that might make more
sense..
