[amayausers] Re: Need tips

Wendy,

Just practice it on some scraps or things that you want to wear (do any of
us have unembellished clothing anymore:-).

The Dakota Collectibles book has an explanation of how to do it properly..
It is a great place to start. I'm still trying to get down the twills and
such. Best advice on appliqué to begin is 1) Start on Scraps, 2) start
simple, 3) Buy appliqué scissors.

I've never done applique' on my embroidery machine, something that alot of
users advised. Wouldn't even know where to begin. Is there anyone out there
that teaches this for the commercial machine? I'm going to Atlanta ISS on
Thursday and didn't see that as a class offering. I know Barb Geer from
Grand Slam designs has done it in the past but would like to attend
something without traveling out of state. Any ideas??
Thanks,
Wendy
