Thanks Roland.
Yes, I have a Sanmar account (I love that company!) and get free shipping on
orders over $200, free catalogs, personalized website, etc. And I haven't
done $20K worth of business with them yet, but they still go out of their
way to work with me. So I don't use any other suppliers.
Some of my orders are small and don't amount to $200 to qualify for free
shipping, although I try to group orders to meet that threshold when I can.
What I was referring to in my earlier email was paying to drop-ship from
Sanmar to a subcontractor, say the Beauregards in Vermont, and then paying
the shipping from Vermont to me on the finished goods. On a recent quote I
worked on for 34 tee shirts, the combined UPS ground shipping came to $41;
priority mail would have been even more - YIKES! That adds a lot to the
price I have to get for things I sub out.
Any ideas?
