[amayausers] Re: Need group input, please -- not a high priority

I just got a call from someone at Melco yesterday; from what I understood, they
are
changing the out of pocket to $200, which would include travel, repair, and
also tune up
to factory specs, etc. I didn't pay too much attention so I may have
misunderstood some
thing as I am still over a year away from my 2 year warranty being up, but you
may want to
call and ask what the new policy is. Edna

With 15 million stiches on the machine in less than 2 years, it sounds like
you get a good bit of use out of it. I would certainly get the warranty. I
do believe you are required to pay for a tech to service and tune-up the
machine out of your pocket (approx. $150-$200) but after that you are
covered. If a circuit board goes out, that will cost you at least several
hundred dollars so I would leave everything to Melco and the tech to handle.
(Sometimes the techs are guessing at that electronic stuff too, they are not
easy to troubleshoot.) As far as names for the machine goes....mine is only
given a name when it doesn't work like it should or when I damage a shirt.
Then it has a lot of 4 and 5 letter names. :)
