Yep, I've looked at them. If I'm going to spend that kind of money, for a few thousand more I can have my large designs. I have a Viking SE, Bernina 200, Singer XL-6000. I've got the biggest fields out there on the smaller-type machines. I need a 16 x 19 field. I've looked at the Happy machine and the Janome. They are still the smaller fields. Pfaff came out with a new machine that has a really large hoop, but you have to split the design. So, that's not the answer either.
Thank you for your help. Kelley----- Original Message ----- From: "K Nehmer" <nehmer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Have you looked at the Babylock or Brother 6 needle machines. A step up from home embroidery (I run a business with mine), but not quite as large (read expensive) as the XT.Kathy----- Original Message ----- From: "stitcher" <stitcher@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <amayausers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, November 26, 2007 11:49 AM Subject: [amayausers.com] Need adviceI'm thinking of buying an Amaya XT and need some advice if I'm doing the right thing or not. I have 3 home machines which all work fine, but I want a machine with a "jacket-back-size" field. I know the XT has a 16 x 19 (or thereabouts) size field and I realize it is an expensive machine for someone not doing a lot of selling. But I want to make large cross-stitch pictures andsplitting a design just doesn't work.My question is: Do you think this machine will accomplish what I want (30 to 50 color changes). I don't care about speed. I want quality and size. Would this machine be "too much machine" for a neophyte to handle? I'm not mechanically oriented, but then again this machine won't be running more than a few hours a week.Other than you probably think I'm just plain NUTZ, could you give me your opinions? Thanks, Stitcher =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list ====================================================================================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list===========================================================
