  I believe they told us at the proper time--they had everything in place so 
  that no one would have to go a day without service for supplies, even though 
  they are no Madeira supplies. However, while they are not selling the 
  machine division, such an announcement as this is not good public relations, 
  and one would have to guess that sales, for a while at least, will suffer 
  under the same conception you have. I have to admit that I would be 
  reluctant to purchase at this time as well, so have to assume this was all 
  taken into account when they "partnered" with Madeira. Still, "partnering" 
  sure was the wrong word since the Melco identity for thread, backing, etc., 
  is, in reality, completely gone.
