Hi,
Since I like my Magna-Hoop Jumbo for my Bernina 730, I was interested to see if
the Magna-Hoop Pro worked for the Amaya XT.
The only complaint I have is that the metal frame sits loose inside the
supplied 11.5" plastic hoop. I remedied this by wrapping the plastic hoop with
double-wide bias tape
(http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat3456&PRODID=prd34710) like I
did with my larger Melco hoops. Now the metal frame for the plastic templates
sits tight and does not jiggle with the speed of the Amaya XT. I hooped a thin
layer of fabric with one layer of cutaway and the design registered perfectly.
You can order the Magna-Hoop Pro from Magna Hoop directly. However, I ordered
it from
http://www.sewforless.com/item/Universal_Magna_Hoop_PRO_PLUS_1000_FREE_EMBROIDERY_DESIGNS/8670/c435
because shipping was included and it came with 1000 free embroidery font
designs.
I went ahead and ordered the Slim-Line 2 Chassis and a 12" x 9" window this
morning anyway. Seems like it is similar to the Magna-Hoop, but either one may
be easier depending on what I need to hoop.
Ed
