I have both the bigger cones and the smaller cones and the bigger ones are 
taller but no problems with them or the tubes.  
I do have to say on the smaller spools they do tend to unravel more on the tree 
but I solve that problem by putting a piece of tape inside the hole to lessen 
the vibration and that seems to work good.
