[amayausers] Re: Longer thread tubes for Maderia thread/ Brand of Thread

 Hi all

Melco has a 9.7 inch Thread tube(PN#005703-02) that is long enough to
accommodate the old Maderia Cone style. Like John said in his response the new
style cones that Maderia has fit the regular Thread tubes just fine, and are
also better mold on the top of the cone which practically eliminate the thread
getting hung up on the cone.

PS.

The cost of the longer tubes is around $6.50.

I just pull the tube out as far as I can and it comes almost flush on some
cones (older) and the newer cones have a little bit bigger base so they fit
alot better. Never really have a problem with them catching though.

I mainly use Robison-Anton thread and am very happy with it. Over the last
year or so we have been ordering lots of Madeira cause it seems to have some
better colors and the Madeira runs great but you have to deal with the taller
cones. One of my contract customers sends Issacord to me for their jobs and I
have never had a problem with it and most of it is 2+ years old. I also use
some arc thread cause they have a few colors I really like. I would definetly
check out Issacord, R/A and Madeira.

Good morning, everyone. I?ve got a ?newbie to the Amayas? question:

We?ve been using Kingstar polyester thread for years with our Barudan machine
with great results ? but it apparently cannot handle the higher speeds of our
new Amayas. So we are in the market for a new thread brand. We?ve ordered the
?sample? pack of the ARC threads, but they do not match up well (color wise)
with our Kingstar threads and need to supplement them. Anyone out there using
thread other than ARC with good results?
