Anand, I know where your noises are stemming from. Although I don't know the history of your machine, and I can't be there to see it, I can't easily speculate on what the immediate fix is. I'm getting the impression that you might be dissatisfied with your Amaya purchase. Truth be told, I used to work on Barudan machines for over a year. Some of their customers weren't satisfied either. I've got a Tajima Neo scheduled to be worked on in the next week. Definitely not my first. I've also have a buddy of mine who repairs Happy machines. I've been asked if I would fix their commercial line. Fact of the matter is that all brand machines will have issues. Sometimes it's a matter of matching the machine to the operator, or visa versa. Pity is, is that if you were in the U.S., I'd buy your Amaya from you either running or in pieces. That's how much I like the Amaya. I hope the Melco office that handles Australia will be able to rectify your issues soon. I hate to see anyone plagued by machine troubles. Best of Luck to you. It went head down in the middle of a design and stopped doing smooth colour changes. It makes a clicking noise during colour changes. I have 200 pant pockets to do that should have got done today. Guess what this does to my business. Lucky I have fast frames to fall back on to use on one of my 4 heads. I pity any one who buys an Amaya and expects to make living exclusively depending on it Anand Hey Anand, Where about are you located? Would you happen to be in the United States? Just like Rod had mentioned, we (as tech's) aren't paid to participate in this list but we are willing to assist you with your problems simply because we believe in the Amaya and Melco alike. We've seen what she's capable of producing and know that any problem you're experiencing can be overcome. If you don't mind, offer up some specifics as to why or how your machine "stopped working". I'm also curious, have you had any formal training on this machine or it's software? Wishing you the best, Ed Orantes Bob, The machine stopped working 3 or four weeks ago. It turned out that some of the connectors were loose. It stopped working on Friday. I was told to try a few things that did not work.=20 Now I have been asked to Reseat cables at the cpu, reseat the keypad cable and tap all of the buttons in case one is sticking.=20 Open the thread feed assy covers behind the head and below the thread tree) and inspect and clean & reseat the thread feed pcb connections also do the same at the colour change card on the upper left side of the needle case. I don=92t want to play embroidery machine mechanic. I have a business to run and other machines to run. Id like new machine without problems or I want my money back. I have recommeded the Amaya on a few other lists. I think I have been too hasty. I may have have to go back and change my posts. Toyota sold me a dud ages ago which they quickly replaced. Anand Anand Although I have considered an Amaya, I do not own one so I have no=20 personal experience with them. However, in fairness I think you can find a so called "lemon" in most brands and granted, some brands may have=20 more of these lemons than others [not referring to the Amaya]. You don't mention what kind of problems you are having with your=20 machine, could you give us some idea of what has been causing you grief=20 and what has been done to this point to correct the problems ? I think this may be a perfect example of why all of us should make after sales support just as important as the machine itself when looking to=20 purchase a machine [Amaya or other]. If in fact you do have a lemon and=20 Melco comes through and rectifies the problem .... then I think your=20 Amaya purchase can still be a good one. On the other hand if you are=20 left stuck with a so called lemon and Melco chooses not to correct the=20 problem[s], then obviously that will not hold well with you or perhaps=20 others who are looking to buy a machine. Good luck Bob Kesavan wrote: >I think my Melco Amaya is a Lemon. > >I have had more trouble with it than anyn other machine I ever owned > >Does Melco replace lemons? > >Anand > > =20 > =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=20 The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=20 --=20 No virus found in this incoming message.
