[amayausers] Re: Lee Denim Jackets

Beverly...do you have a fast frame? You could use the 'long' one, go in to
the yoke from the zipper edge of the jacket, rotate your embroidery and use
clamps to hold it on. Don' t forget to get all the extra jacket up on the
table so the weight doens't pull it off.
Definitely a job for the clamping system...ours is hopefully on the way!
Ed, the 'yoke' is the overlapping material on jackets, etc. that comes over
the shoulder and part way down the chest-instead of a seam up on the
shoulder ridge. Allows rain to roll off the shoulder instead of going
through a seam and getting you wetter than you want. Makes the jackets look
'classy'.
On the Carhart and Sanmar PA jackets we do, to get a name over that darned
zipper pocket on the right (the zipper is inside the jacket) we had to use
the 7" hoop-so the whole pocket was 'in' the hoop-to get around that thick
'seam' that pops the hoops open. Try that if you have to! And to make it
easier, rotate the jacket so you are sewing from the 'zipper' out
across-instead of having the jacket collar, etc. stuck under the needle
head. Makes it easier-use chalk to draw a straight line from the zipper out
to line up to.
