[amayausers] Re: Laser light

In regards to the center of the laser light the way the design centers in the
hoop or the sew areas will make a difference on caps and upgrades may correct
that...but on caps the laser will always appear off by about 2 mil or so due to
the refraction of the laser on the non flat surface. On a flat garment the
laser can shine straight down from above...but when a cap is hooped and mounted
on the driver the cap does not sit flat to the needle plate. The rise of the
cap above the needleplate distorts the laser center slightly.

If you just get in the habit to toggle the hoop over the center seam one way or
the other this will center the design on the cap and never have to be adjusted.
On both my machines I have to toggle the frame right of the center seam approx.
2 mil and it is perfect. You get it in your head after a while and it just is
natural to do this
