We just did some last week,( they call them toboggans here in NC, don't know
why). Anyway, We used tear away and solvy, although we have also used no
solvy. with solvy, material thickness of 15, without 25. We used 15cm hoops,
just make sure the orientation of the design is right! We did one upside
down when you folded it up. And yes we used ball point needles. Like I said
though check the orientation, you have to turn the hat inside out, so when
you fold it up it's right reading.
hope it helps

We are doing our first order of knit skull caps. Do you use the wide angle
cap frame or a fast frame? solve? ball point needle? tear away? Any help
would
be appreciated.
