Sounds like your window was simply "restored". That's the name for the
little button in the upper right hand corner of your screen between the
"little line" button and the "X" button. If you toggle that button, it
alternates between "restore" and "maximize". The "Restore" feature allows
you to see multiple windows on your monitor screen at one time. You can
also use this feature by double clicking anywhere on the blue bar across the
top of the screen.
