[amayausers] Re: Identify a sound

Wendy,
I am curious to know if this is the original hook that came with the
machine?

Something to check on the hook is the center post, to see if has excessive
play in it.

Do this by removing the bobbin case, then take hold of the spindle or
center post of the hook and jiggle it around. It is OK to have JUST a little
play, but if you are able to rattle it around, the hook is probably in need
of replacement. Have you checked this ?
