[amayausers] Re: Identify a sound

Wendy
I had a similar problem until Rod Stringer replaced the old style rotary
hook with the new. It sounded like something was loose. And I had thread
break problems. Everything seems to be OK now.

Subject: [amayausers] Identify a sound

I've been sewing pretty much since about 1:00 this afternoon and noticed
that my Amaya is starting to make a weird sound in the bobbin area. Best way

I can describe it is like to wooden sticks (drumsticks) hitting together
when it starts to sewing, doesn't make it while it's sewing. I've taken the
bobbin out and checked the case, cleaned it up a little, pulled a stray
thread out by the cutters, oiled the hook and it still makes noise. Could
it be hook timing. I'm sewing on the job from he!! and have had some
threabreaks but nothing else that indicates trouble. Any idea where I should

begin to look?
Thanks!
