Almost all of the jackets through Sanmar have a 'hidden' zipper either in
the armpit, bottom hem, or both. You unzip it, slide your backing and hoop
inside, then clamp it down and sew away! Great on the 'carhart' style farm
jacket-doesn't affect the lining at all. I don't know if anyone else makes
their jackets this way. We had a couple Carhart jackets a customer brought
in, and he paid to have us tear out the bottom seam, sew them out, then take
to a seamstress to have the hem resewn. He didn't want the quilting messed
up. Since then he has bought only the Sanmar line.

Subject: [amayausers] I am pathetically lame
Hi all. I have heard about the lining saver system for jackets. I have no
clue what it is, or how to go about hooping the jacket but not the lining.
Any "clues" for the clueless would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Judy
