This is where density, column width, short stitches or no short stitches, 
stitch directions, needle size, thread size, hooping technique, etc,  all play 
a part. A 70/10 needle may help, as it pokes a smaller hole..

The use of the "Corners" tool definitly helps to miter or cap sharp corners to 
keep the column flat and not get a build up....which will tend to poke holes in 
the fabric.
