Hi to All
Linda and I are new to the embroidery business, we just got our new Amaya
about a month and a half ago. Since that time we went to class a couple weeks
after we got the machine and have been trying to learn how to use it since that
time. Linda has years of sewing and quilting behind her and I know nothing. It
has been a fun experience with some real frustration at the continued thread
breaks. We have tried all of the things we learned at school and those we have
read in the book. Finally yesterday I sewed our first item with no thread
break. I called a machine tech yesterday because I noticed that when the thread
would break and shred, quite often under the red wheel at the top the thread
was going under the shroud and sticking. The tech said the black rubber wheels
under it, (the ones some have talked about getting a grove in them) could have
some stickiness on them and be causing the problem. He told me how to take them
out, (very easy) and to clean them with isopropal alcohol.
I did this and the machine is sewing like a dream now. Just thought I would
share that as I had not heard any of the messages that talked about the thread
breakage addressing this issue.
