Shannon,
I share your frustrations on the DS lettering. I too have had problems with
letters unraveling but I can't remember what font it was. I know the
Athletic Block Outline is to be avoided at all costs and who knows how many
others have similar problems. I general stick to Melco block and script and
the micro's for small lettering. I would venture to guess that some of the
fonts available for purchase sew out much better but to get good results I
think there are alot of other variables that make lettering look good. I
just keep practicing with the lettering until I find the variable
combination that works for the fabric and I've learned to always check the
lettering on my samples to make sure it doesn't fray when trimmed. My little
song and dance won't help much but know you aren't alone in your learning
process.
Connie offers some good suggestions for you and I've learned alot from her
and a few others on this list, information that has become invaluable.
