Weird thing happened Mike, No, I haven't experienced that. I have had relatively few problems with this version or any previous v 5.xxx. The biggest problem was with a HUGE design that was digitized in expanded format. It took forever to make a single change and 50% of the time, it would corrupt. Other than that one file, I can't think of any problems I have had using the program (s) that weren't operator error. The biggest operator error that I had was a result of not having the hoop arms completely secure. I did have registration problems with that. But as I said, operator error. Weird thing happened Susan, Have you ever had any of these registration shift conditions develop in the middle of any of your stitch patterns. Weird thing happened LuAnn, Interesting condition. My machine has done the same thing about 4 times over the last 3 months since I loaded and began using Design Shop, ver 5.07.041 and Amaya OS, ver 5.07.043. Never happened before and I have not been able to duplicate it. It is very random. Should it be a "Y" motor issue I can't help but ask whether or not there is a way to trouble shoot the problem in advance so that it can be replaced before it begins to create lots of stitch problems. Jeff, is there a more current version of DS and OS 5.07.xxx that may eliminate the problem? Thanks for any assistance. Weird thing happened Good morning all, First off, this is NOT how I wanted to start out my week. First thing this morning I was stitching out a name 2" tall, children's block. I heard a "thump", not loud, just a thump and the lettering shifted. So I ended up with a line not being straight. It was straight until the thump and then everything shifted and continued to stitch straight but off to the right about 2 mm. So I attempted to then stitch out another name 2" tall, Juliette font and it did the same thing at two points in the "A" and then again at one spot in the "v". I rehoooped and attempted to stitch out again. The "A" stitched out fine, so I figured it was just a fluke, but then on the "v", a thump, and a shift. Stitch out continued fine until the "r" and then it happened again. I have no idea where to start to look for what might be wrong. I am on the East Coast and Melco is not open yet!!
