Reminds me of a fella who purchased a brand new Dodge truck 7 or 8 years
ago. Within his first month of ownership, the transmission went and the
truck had to be towed back to the dealer.

To make a very long story short ..... after 3 weeks, the truck still sat
on the dealers lot and the transmission was not repaired [all kinds of
excuses were given - parts not available, wrong parts shipped, back
order, etc.]. Being fed up with no action, the owner decided he had
enough and phoned the service department on a Friday morning. He told
them that he would be coming in the following Monday to do one of two
things ..... drive his truck home OR paint "This truck is a lemon" all
over his truck and since it was his truck, the dealer could not prevent
him from doing the painting [he was going to use the washable paint that
is used on store front windows to advertise sales, holiday greetings, etc.].

When the truck owner got to the dealership Monday, his truck was ready
to drive home. The dealer had replaced his complete transmission with
one removed from one of their "in stock" new vehicles.

I certainly am not suggesting anything by this story but your problems
simply reminded me of it.

By the way, this is true ...... I know the person who owned the truck.
