[amayausers] Hello & hooping

Susan,

Here is what I do about the laser being off. I will align to my center, then
do a "bottom center" with the needle to see where it lands and adjust
accordingly. I have found that the light does "reflect" off a little and it
depends on the fabric. On hats, I always have to shine the light on the
right side where the stitching is on the seam. Then the needle drops right
in the middle. Once you know where it goes for a certain run you just move
accordingly, you only have to do the "bottom center" on the first one. And
as you said that little difference doesn't usually matter. I tend to be
"anal" about it, especially on hats if the design is not in the center with
the seam.

As for the "hoop limits" I always do a trace. Take my advice - hitting the
hoop is not fun. If it's just barely over, simply reduce your overall design
size a tiny bit and it should be fine. Good Luck.
