Again, I think you need to call Melco or your service tech and see when the new version came out. My presser foot was changed in October of last year (2004). I have no idea when it was introduced. It would be nice if Melco told us when new machine updates were available (both necessary and nice) along with updates to the OS (An email notification would be easy?!). There was also an upgrade for the needle bar to change/move needles faster (I didn't opt for that as I have low workload and couldn't justify the cost).
