[amayausers] Re: HELP!!! "Ethernet communications did not start correctly"

It will not be listed as Amaya. It will be listed as Pegasus. If you have
more than one network card installed and you are not using Windows XP you
may have to make sure the right one is being used by the Amaya OS.

Subject: [amayausers] HELP!!! "Ethernet communications did not start
correctly"

Hi, I just recieved my AMAYA friday afternoon. By the time I got it set up,
tech support had closed.
Does anyone know the network protocol?
Does it run TCP/IP? what IP address.
It does not show up on my routers DHCP list.

It came with a crossover cable. I tried hooking it up straight into my NIC &
got a light, but I get a message ?Ethernet communications did not start
correctly, restart computer" I did & still got the massage. Therefore, I
hooked up my router with patch cables. Same problem. When I hooked up the
router, I went into it & looked at the DHCP list, no AMAYA. I thought I may
have a NIC card problem, so I put in a card from an old computer & I still
have the problem, so I am assuming I need to set up something in the network
protocols so the AMAYA can be seen???

HELP!!!

Thanks,
