The first thing that I found that I needed to do was make sure the driver
was setup for the machine. They are not setup when shipped from the factory.
If running the conventional cap frame on the wide angle driver..... Make
sure the wings have been removed. Additionally make sure that there is no
cap movement... What I found was most of the needle breaks came closer to
the bill of the hat... Because of the bill rubbing on the machine and
causing movement of the hat and thus the needle would deflect and hit the
needle plate. And I'm sure you know but don't forget the raised plate too.
