Are you saying you do not have anti-virus software on your computer? If not, GET IT!!! If you have DSL or a cable modem, you should get a router/firewall of some sort. (I suggest a hardware firewall such as a Linksys or Dlink) Most ISP's give you zero protection against hackers. Our firewall at work picks up thousands of people trying to break into our network everyday. My home firewall picks up a couple hundred.
The internet is not safe.

Jeff,

Don't ask me what I did but it works now. I had some sort of virus on the PC causing MSN to be stuck on 11/8. My Dad changed a couple of setting to fix it and now the floppy drive works.
