There can be many reasons for false thread breaks, one being presser foot
height. You are using old style cap frames on an XT...this equates to quite a
lot of loose material in the frontal area of the cap. The presser foot ( on the
XT ) should be all the way don and up 1 or 2 clicks. If the cap is allowed to
flag then false and real thread breaks will occur.
In your case I would just go into the "Settings" and disable bobbin detection
for these/this problem design(s), but then that means you must now babysit the
bobbin so that you do not run out and possibly make a mess.....and this is also
assuming that the presser foot is set correctly....
