If changing the top thread setting doesn't work. Try turning the thread break
bar about 1/4 turn. That can sometimes fix the problem. You can also try
turning the needle about 5-10 degrees to the right. On some needles you will
need to turn the needle slightly past what you think is normal because the hook
hits the thread dead center and causes shredding or breaks.
