[amayausers] Dog Collars

I need some advice.
   
  I am trying to stitch names and phone numbers on dog collars for a customer.
   
  I am using the fast frame sleeve frame with tacky backing.  The collars are 
for larger dogs, so they are about 1" wide but are about 1'8" thick.  I have 
set the thickness on manual at 16.  The thread keeps breaking after a couple of 
stitches.
   
  Can anyone give me some suggestions???
