Fyi - Our widescreen monitor on the laptop is set to 1280 X 800, 32 bit
color, 96 DPI.  We do not have distortion.

Below is a response I had received from another person from another group
regarding the wide screen several months ago:

Oh?  About your Wide Screen Laptop . . . . can you adjust the screen
resolution to a different Display Resolution?
Try this . . .
Right Mouse Click on your Desktop, Select Properties.
A Display Properties menu box pops up.
Select Settings.
You then see down in the lower left, a slider called Screen Resolution.
If you change this setting, can you find a setting that's more
proportionate,
instead of being too wide?
If you use 1024 by 768 resolution, does this fill up your screen?  What
resolution do you currently use?
