We make a fibrous water soluble stabilizer - (as do others)
I am a firm believer that fibers hold stitches far better than films -
stabilizers
The threads become entangled in the fibers leading to better and tighter
definition or registration - not so with films
As per cotton stabilizers
Same as with paper - cotton leads to lint
Which will appearr in your bobbin cases and all orifices of your machines
There is no binder in the cotton esily leading to breakdown of the fibers
In non woven backings we use acrylic binders to hold the fibers
We also add silicohe as a needle lubriaant
Sincerely
Fred
