Thanks for the helpful information. I suspected it was trying to do a satin
stitch, as I saw similar behavior when I tried to do an absurdly wide column.
The way I look at stuff like this relates to an old medical joke: The man goes
to the doctor and says, "It hurts when I do this!" The doctor replies, "Then
don't do that."
Now, about the duck comment... :)
