When placing in the hoop, I made sure he entire lower band of the hat was against the surface of the hoop, and used the velcro clasp to tighten it around the hoop, and the little clips to tight loose material to the posts. I used the carbboard that comes with the hat and one layer of backing, with material thickness set to 6. I also used the "wings" and "raised needle plate" for this sew. Also, the vertical height of the sewing field seems directly proportional to the "slope" of the hat. If the hat is very low-profile, then the higher you try to sew the more distorted it will become as the hat drags across the needle plate. Glad to finally get a good result and some understanding of how this frame works!! =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list ===========================================================
