I think Kip's complaint was the Kingstar was breaking too much because of
the high speeds and doesn't like the ARC brand because of the "sheen" of the
thread. I would suggest ordering a couple samples from Isacord and Madeira.
Isacord and Madeira seem to have more "sheen" to them. If they ask for a
color, ask for black or white. You can never have too much black or white
thread in stock!! I tried the ARC brand and it ran well and also tried R-A
many years ago and it had many thread breaks. If you try Isacord or Madeira,
I think you will like it.

Good morning, everyone. I've got a 'newbie to the Amayas' question:
We've been using Kingstar polyester thread for years with our Barudan
machine with great results - but it apparently cannot handle the higher
speeds of our new Amayas. So we are in the market for a new thread brand.
We've ordered the 'sample' pack of the ARC threads, but they do not match up
well (color wise) with our Kingstar threads and need to supplement them.
Anyone out there using thread other than ARC with good results?
