The warning will come up no matter what you do or who you bought the
frame from. It is to make sure you have reset everything!
I take a 3 oz. cutaway or tearaway, whatever it is...underneath,
mount the beanie, THEN put the solvy on top and tuck it in or use
some tape to hold the ends until it starts to sew.
On the right is the 'bent handle', lift that all the way up. The jaws
really don't open much-make sure you move the needle bar under the
needles so you don't acupuncture your knuckles. Just lift the front
jaw up and slide the cap and underpiece in place, drop the top jaw,
and position your solvy. I hate to waste solvy so I do that last and
only as much as I need. Don't forget-it works better if you have a
back fill underneath your lettering area to hold the fabric. Not
matter what you do-that area is not going to stretch again when they
wear it.
Have fun!
