Hi Mary, I'm right over in Claremont...
applique for a banner-or do you mean a flag?
Is going to be a real chore-you have extremely limited space even in your 
biggest hoop. I wouldn't do it-because it is not going to hold up in the 
weather.  There is a flag shop over in Peterborough or between Peterborough and 
Keene (advertise in Yankee Mag) and you can either send the customer to them or 
see if they do wholesale. Their stuff is all 'ripstop' nylon, etc.-made for 
outdoors.
