Janel,

Some days I'm glad customers can't see what goes into the process (some
day's it can be kind of embarrassing - LOL).

However, I agree with education of the customers and I agree that we can't
sell ourselves short. Fortunately, I work with companies that are small
enough to know what their budget is up front and not through a middleman
with no bargaining power. But when you're a young company with few clients
you're always looking for a bargain, whether it's in the cost of the
digitizing or getting case pricing for shirts. If I have the time, I will
always search for the lowest priced, quality design.

I don't discount my designs. I definitely do not condone stealing other
people's designs or artwork and I think that those that have the talent and
skills to produce the designs and artwork we want should charge us
accordingly. I also believe that it's not up to me to go out of my way to
police the pirates nor is it my job to tell others how to set their prices.
The following statement may sound a little harsh, but in a very abrupt way
it's the truth. We must remember that we do live in a capitalistic society
and survival depends on taking advantage of what we can (short of theft or
other illegal activities). Those that don't, won't survive.
