[amayausers] Re: Bally Fitness

Connie,

I am sincere about wanting to know why she is looking for a cheap or
inexpensive design. I had thoughts of customer budget too but I also see
the perceived value of digitizing and embroidery dropping because these
are two areas that seem to take cuts first to acquire business. We don't
know the reason in this situation but let's say it is customer budget. I
feel that bargaining is in garment choice and markup because discounting
embroidery and digitizing sends the wrong message and only hurts us all
in the long run. A lot of people buying our products don't see us doing
the work so they think that running a machine and digitizing are
automated therefore it must be easy to do. Why not educate and show them
what goes into the process so they are more apt to make a change in
quantity or garment choice to meet their budget.

Janel,

There are probably a variety of reasons that she's looking for the logo
"cheap". Perhaps she has been given a budget already and can only afford
a
$8.00 or $20.00 logo instead of having it digitized for her at $50+.
Then
again, cheap is probably the wrong word to use. Shannon probably should
have said inexpensive. I'm sure she did not mean that she was looking
for a
poor quality logo.

Personally, I read her message and thought - well, I don't have that
logo
and I don't know anyone who does, so it doesn't pertain to me.

However, your message struck a chord with me. I, too, tend to look for
the
inexpensive when I need to shop for designs. I recognize the trouble
people
go through to digitize and the skill it takes to produce true quality.
However, I am always the bargain hunter and I think I always will be.
I'm
also a very loyal customer to those that treat me right - as well as the

first to tell everyone when I've been treated poorly.
