I didn't find that I needed a backing for these jackets--EXCEPT, that I wanted it in the event I made a mistake and had to pick up stitching. So, since my jackets were black, I used a black cutaway since I had it on hand.

Need some advice please! I need to sew full jacket back design on the San Mar Wool & Leather Letterman jacket. What would be the best backing to use. This will be a first for me and I really don't want to make any mistakes on a jacket that expensive.
