I already have the top piece embroidered separately and the throw has been embroidered, also, so I didn't think I wanted to embroider on the throw again through the separate piece of material. It sounds like your first reply using the running stitch for placement and then spraying adhesive to the fabric should work. Would you use any stabilizer, like a soluble between the bottom fabric and the throw. I didn't know if I could hoop the throw without a stabilizer to sew the running stitch.
