I just re-read the original question and it looks like Cindy is planning to embroider the design twice on separate fabric, then will applique those pieces to the throw. Is that correct??? Rather than doing that, I think it would be easier to stitch-down the top applique fabric to the throw with a running stitch, embroider the design, then stitch-down the bottom fabric (which would be blank--no stitching)with another running stitch. Then stop and trim close to the stitched edges on both top and bottom, then satin stitch to finish both top and bottom. Still clear as mud???
