Herb Acree was kind enought to teach me a little trick with the Design Shop
lettering and I hope what I've done is okay and won't cause my letters to
unravel. I'm using Micro Block Large CP for some lettering and was having to do
a lot of trims because of the spacing my customer wants. My trimmer has not
been cooperating with me lately so I tried moving the entry and exit point of
the letters to give them a longer tail for hand trimming. When I sewed it out
it worked like a charm but my concern is unraveling stitches. Back in Feb of
'04 another user posted that this font does not have a lock stitch and will
unravel if the jump stitch is hand trimmed. Is this true? If so what can I do
to prevent this from happening when I hand trim? I set my lock/trim tab to
tie-in & off always on this lettering. Will this do or is there something else
to do? When I trimmed my sample I tugged a little on the tails after I trimmed
one side and they seem secure. Any suggestions are most welcome!
Thanks,
Wendy Solomonson
