I am NOT using the laser light to determine the center of the design. I sew the
design in the "center" according to the software (both Design Shop and Amaya
OS). Before I remove from the hoop I can see it is not on center, check it with
a protractor and ruler, it is off! Remove from hoop, take measurements using
the crease formed from the hoop for a more accurate measurement, it is about
2MM off to the right and 2MM low. Bizarre....

Question. Are you using the laser light to center the design in the hoop
?
I recently went to tech training in Denver and boy, did I learn a lot of
really interesting stuff about these machines.
The laser light, if relied on to find absolute center in the design can
cause a problem IF it is not in the proper adjustment. Even when it is
adjusted properly for center on flat stitching, trying to use it to trace a
perfect stitch outline dosen't pan out either. This is especially true when
using the hat driver because of the curved surface. The laser light gets you
very close but can't be relied on it to be absolutely perfect...
