I run Isamet and it runs fine. I do slow the machine down a little when 
running metallic thread. Also changing the desity helps. Metallic is thicker 
than regular thread.

It is so funny how we each have opinions in that I find ARC works great.
I also have very little problems with Maderia and purchase it because I
can go and buy it locally.  I will say that the best metallic that I
have found has been mon-rex from Melco.  The real glitzy stuff from
Maderia has been terrible.  I know it is because it does not have a
smooth hand and splits easier than all the rest.

ARC and either of my machines don't get along.  I switched over to
Sylko by
Coats and Clarks primarily because it's made in America.  The  added
benefit
was how smooth and strong it is.  Thread breaks are pretty  much a thing
of the
past now.  Yahoo!
