I run Isamet and it runs fine. I do slow the machine down a little when running metallic thread. Also changing the desity helps. Metallic is thicker than regular thread. I also have very little problems with Maderia and purchase it because I can go and buy it locally. I will say that the best metallic that I have found has been mon-rex from Melco. The real glitzy stuff from Maderia has been terrible. I know it is because it does not have a smooth hand and splits easier than all the rest. I switched over to Sylko by Coats and Clarks primarily because it's made in America. The added benefit was how smooth and strong it is. Thread breaks are pretty much a thing of the past now.
