I got mine at Bestbuy for around $100. I think the model is APC 750va and it 
has a $75,000 warrenty with around one hour backup for a computer. I figure 
that would be good enough to finish a small design at 10,000 stitches so I 
could safely turn the machine off in the event of a power outage. Living in the 
Washington DC area, we get our fair share of summer thunderstorms and power 
flashing off and on and it has saved me several times. I know the machine has a 
power restore feature but I prefer the battery backup. I also have a light I 
got from Home Depot for $15 that automatically turns on when the power goes out 
so I'm not completely in the dark.
