I've had my Amaya for 14 months...and since it was a HUGE investment and since
I've been there....I can appreciate your frustration when things are going
wrong. In the beginning I can remember checking out EVERYONE'S EMBROIDERY
EVERYWHERE I WENT and thinking to myself "Mine doesn't look that good" and
wondering if I should have gotten the TAJIMA, BROTHER etc. I have a HUGE pile
of mistakes and I went nuts when I ruined something until I decided that it was
all part of the learning curve and the $ spent for trial and error /
self-instruction and it's all part of the process. Wiithin the first 6 months
I often thought I should "bale now" before I get further in debt. I seemed to
be calling MELCO every other day and I remember converstions that were 1 and 2
hours long. By the time someone answered I was SO FRUSTRATED AND ANGRY that I
know I was miserable to help and I am sure every Melco rep cringed whn I gave
them my customer ID #. IT ALL GETS BETTER....I have gone months
(knock on wood) with no problems. I have learned that an adjustment of the
column width in most lettering (120-130) makes all the difference in the world.
Join NNEP and go to the conferences. Take any training available in your area.
Join another list for help with sourcing and problems, challenges. If you can
find some embroidery shops to visit (maybe at a distance)...do that too.
