Listserve Protocol Reminders

As your past secretary, I wanted to remind people of two items that would
have made the post I just read much more manageable, and thus much more
widely read:

1.  When refering to an article, include a link to the article, rather than
e-mailing cut and pasted text, whenever possible. Cut and pasted text often
re-formats and takes up much more space than it should.

2.  When responding to a post, especially a long one like the above
referenced article on brutality in the Congo, please delete the text you are
refering to and simply reference it in your response.  This will help avoid
the situation in the altroots digest I just read where that article appeared
three times, burying other posts underneath.  Many other messages also
appeared 2-3 times in that digest. Realize there is no one to edit out these
repetitions before it comes out in digest form, so those responding must do
so.
