This message is distributed by Alternate ROOTS member Jaehn Clare on behalf
of VSA arts of Georgia:
Every year, VSA arts of GA transforms its nonprofit art gallery, in historic
Downtown of Atlanta, into a retail venue for an inclusive holiday art sale
featuring affordable art by artists with and without disabilities.
In an effort to provide an income-earning opportunity for artists in need,
VSA arts of GA is actively recruiting artists displaced from the Gulf Coast
as the result of Hurricane Katrina to participate in this year's sale, which
runs from Nov. 3 - Dec. 23, 2005.
The gallery's reputation and central location in the largest city in the
Southeast makes it an excellent place for sales of art and the marketing of
artistic talent. Artists are also welcome to use the gallery as a meeting
and networking space during the sale.
The original deadline for application is Fri., Sept. 23, 2005. The deadline
has been extended indefinitely for Gulf Coast artists.
